Ambassador Esra Toplu completed her undergraduate studies at Boğaziçi University, Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences, Department of Political Science and International Relations in 2002 and master’s degree studies at Linkoping University in 2004 at International and European Relations program. After graduation, she began working in the private sector as Project Manager between the years 2004-2006.

From 2006 to 2023, Ms. Toplu served in wide range of roles within the Presidency of the Republic of Türkiye from career specialist to various managerial positions. Since 2023, she has been serving in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Between 2023 and 2025, she served as the Director General for Foreign Policy Planning and Coordination at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

On July 29th, 2025, Ms. Toplu has assumed the office as the Ambassador of the Republic of Türkiye to the Republic of Lithuania.
